P1i Problem

Hi,
When I want to sync my phone book I see an error like that"SYNC COULD NOT BE INITIALIZED-2147467263 THE REQUESTED DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS OPERATION"
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Which version of the PC-Suite you have installed ?

what do you mean? PC Suite of sony ericsson or my phone explorer?
Sony ericsson last version from cd
my phone explorer new version that support uiq phones V1.7

I mean the PC Suite from SonyEricsson. Please update it from their site. MyPhoneExplorer uses some librarys of the PC-Suite if it communicates with Symbian-Phones.

Hmm, last chance:
Go to %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer<your phone and imei>\settings.dat and delete the line which begins with "SyncML_UID=". then try it again.

By the way: Does the sync work with the official PC-Suite ?

had the same problem (after restoring backup with PC Suite).
Uninstalled MPE and installe it again => everything ok!

this is my log file , and i have tried so many things in order to connect my phone but they were are useless, could you tell me what should i do?
P.S i have done these things before (reinstalling pc-suit and myphoneexplorer and i have deleted all filesmfolders and traces in registry! disabling xp firewall and antivirus! changing port names!)

i thought you should know that i have installed sp3 on my windows xp, maybe it has something to do with this

Another process blocks the communication-port. Is there a active internetconnection throught your phone ? Please check also the taskmanager for a process called "ehtray.exe". If this process is running then close it.

i dont use an internet connection through my phone, and i looked for what you said in my taskmanager but i didnt find it! how can i find the other program which is blocking the connection-port?

OK, maybe its a firewall or Antivirus-Software which blocks modems in general. If this not helps then i would every process one by one to see from which process the COM-Port is used.
