Hi there, I unfortunately used Sony Ericsson PC Suite to back-up/download all my contacts, pictures and SMSs from a sem-damaged phone. I am now trying to transfer everything back to a brand new k610i and all is OK except the SMSs which won't transfer.
I now realise I should have used My Phone Explorer rather to do this instead of PC Suite, but is there anything I can do? I have these message safely on my PC (through PC Suite) but how do I get them back into the inbox of my brand new phone?!!
Thanks in advance...
Paul.

Thanks for replying Weinbi... Sorry I am being thick, when you say "In SMS-Archive" I can't see how to select this specific option in My Phone Explorer??weinbi hat geschrieben:Open MyPhoneExplorer, connect to the phone. In SMS-Archive, right-click into the list and choose import. Select the messages.
Right-click the messages in the list and choose copy to phone.
I have managed to find where on my PC my old SMSs were saved by PC Suite (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Ericsson\Sony Ericsson PC Suite\Common\Profiles) and some of the files there have already been associated by Windows with My Phone Explorer, but My Phone Explorer will not open them!
Thanks again,
Paul.

But... I am still having trouble importing a file of the correct format into My Phone Explorer. I see one of the valid file formats is .csv - what format should the text data take within the .csv file, perhaps I could even edit myself a .csv file manually (only talking about 100 messages!) which would be acceptable to the My Phone Explorer software?
