Runtime error 339

I have been using MFE for more than a year without problems.. Then I made the mistake of upgarding to ver 1.7 Now I get the following error messge when I try run the program.

Runtime error 339 component Sport.dll or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I have tried by redownloading and reinstalling the software but get the same error when trying to run.

Where can I download the old version which worked fine?

Same error here (windows me)!

In "C:\Windows\System\" there is a screensaver
named sport.scr with the sport.dll. Please move
them to a new/other directory...

then install MPE again....

here it runs

@K750i-Mobil: It worked for you but this file is only present in Win98 and ME. On Win2000 and all later systems the file does not exist.

@Ian: Did you have admin-rights while installing ? Which OS/Servicepack you are using ?

Does the installer work or does it abort while installing ?

Please check out if Sport.dll is no not present in the sysdir (maybe it could not be deleted from the uninstaller) and try it again. If it also not helps then you can find the old version 1.6.7 on my official homepage.
