ActiveX not registered ???

Beitrag von krbo »

tried 1.7 - no go , "ActiveX not registered......"

uninstal, install, reboot , install 1.6 , uninstal, reboot... (endless loop)

nothing helped, 1.7 always wants to register ActiveX serial control.

XP SP3

any suggestion ?

later, when I return from work.
(it says that ActiveX control for serial connection is not registered/licensed
to use on my PC and offers me registration screen with username/license key to enter)

In the meantime there is another problem.

Installing 1.7 over 1.6.6:

1.7 detects older version and tries to uninstall it with "uninstall /s" command.
That process always hangs and must be terminated.

Then older version is uninstalled from it's "uninstall" shortcut without a problem.

I cannot give you the licence-key, it should be registred automatical. What happens if you "overinstall" v1.7 again ?

same thing.

tried also several other solutions posted here - nothing helps so I'm giving up from buggy version and endless restarts.

You should resolve ActiveX auto registration with your vendor.

I'm in contact with the producer of the file and i'm trying already to find a solution.
