sharing myphone between 2 os's using a data partition

I have three partitions. XP, vista and data. I am trying to see if I can share the same data profile for your programme on both os's. is that possible? If so, how do I do it?

All settings and data are saved in %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer. In the options you can move this folder (database) to a self defined location. Set this path on your data-partition and also in the other OS you do the same.
I think this should work.
