v1.7 Application Error

Hi FJ,

Have encounter the following problem after installed v1.7.

The instruction at "0x72007000" referenced memory at "0x7200700".
The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

After click OK.

The instruction at "0x67006f00" referenced memory at "0x67006f00".
The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

Please assist to resolve this problem asap.

Which Operating system ?
When you get the message ? directly on startup ?

Thanks for the prompt respond.

System :
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

It started well after installed for few days.
However, when was running it today, the error message appeared and could not work anymore.

Tried uninstalled v1.7 and reinstalled but could not work.

Any other information you need?

Please help me to solve this problem.

- Go to Start->Run
- type in %appdata% and press OK
- there exists a folder called "MyPhoneExplorer" - rename it to MyPhoneExplorer_backup
- try to start MPE again

Many thanks for resolving this problem.

However, after running MPE, found other problems.

1. The chinese character in the sms cannot be read, which perviously can.

2. The achieved sms that I have save previously were not updated. Where can i locate the file beside in the Application Data folder.

1) I dont think it depends on the crashes you had before
2) the sms are archived in the Applicationdatafolder which you renamed. The filename is SMSArchive.dat.

Did you swap your PC from DBCS-Mode to normal or something like this ?

I do not recall my laptop evert encountered to safe mode.
Does it affect?

In this case, how I can view the sms in chinese character?

The SMS-Achieve file that is in the folder is not updated.
Probably have been deleted when re-installing after several times.

The SMS-Archive-File gets not deleted when updating. It gets only deleted if you uninstall MPE and there is a security-question in the uninstaller which asks if you want to delete the data.

Copy the SMSArchive.dat-File back from the renamed folder to the current folder.
