Crash on Multi - Sync

Beitrag von Nomce »

I installed the newest version of MPE (1.7.0) on Windows XP Service Pack 2, two days ago. Today, I installed the drivers for my phone, K750i.

I start Multi-sync, and when it comes to "Refresh file lists" it crashes.

How I can find the log, so I can paste it here?

Its located in %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\Debug.txt

Please post it directly after the crash

Are you able to browse in the filebrowser of MPE to this path: \Memory Stick\MSSEMC\Media files\audio\Tose\ ?
Is there anything special in this path ?

I can not browse to that path, MPE is crashing it that moment.
There is one song, which filename is written in cyrilic.

I uploaded your file on my W800i and there was no crash. Could it be that you disabled 8.3 filenames ? MyPhoneExplorer is not fully unicode-compatible. If there is a file in Unicode then MPE uses the 8.3 Filename (Shortpath) to access it.

I have not disabled 8.3 filenames.
How I can check if I have disabled them?

So, how I can (or, we can) solve the problem?

The easiest thing would be to change the filename to normal chars - not special chars. If i want to make a real bugfix it would need more time to implement logmessages and so on....

Please note: Unicodechars in filenames are normally no problem, but it seems that this raises the crash on your PC
