1.67 crashed at startup, BIG5 OS but 1.66 worked just fine

as title, i know that my problem is as the same as this post:

But i used 1.66 and anything worked so well.

Then I reinstall my OS, and downloaded 1.67, when the program started to sync my SMS message, it crashed, then I wasn't open it again until i deleted the SMS.dat, but the problem remained whenever I tryed to sync my SMS.

is there anyway i could solve this problem?

Are you using a chinese PC ?

I turned back now the filewrite-method to the old version. please try it with the current beta. Please rename the old files for testing so that MPE can startup and write the new ones. And its important that you give me feedback in both cases - if its working or not.

Yes my OS is Chinese BIG5 system, but before 1.67 everything worked fine, just some character problem in the contact liste, but the SMS was perfect!:)

Back to the subject.

The original 1.67 didn't work, the error message stop at reading SMS messages.

The beta patch didn't work, either. the first error was here, the initial interface:


But I guess it was just not supported by my W800i, no big deal, then MPE crashed at the same point as the original 1.67, the SMS part. The debug.txt was so huge so I uploaded here:

I updated the beta again. Please test it.

I have found a way to bring my PC also into the BIG5-Mode. On my PC i had no crash with the last beta.

The errormessage if you sync the notes has also as reason the incompatibility to DBCS-Systems. I'm afraid you have to live with it.
