Recurrence Pattern Flaw?

Beitrag von Rassilon »

Hi All,
I'm trying to enter my shift roster into MPE 1.6.7 but when I enter in a recurrence rule for a SUNDAY and include a Monday, the Monday stored is not the Monday immediately following the Sundey.

FYI: My first day of the week is set to Sunday.

e.g:

I set a recurrence to start on Friday 11th and tick Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday boxes. Instead of Monday 14th being used, Monday 20th is instead.

Thanks for taking the time to check my message out.

I reproduced your Problem on my PC and its the same. After some researching i have to tell you that the calculation is basicly correct. Its also not possible to set an event with your wish in the phone. The vCal-Format does not allow this.

But i think i have an Alternative for you:
Create a whole-dayevent from 11.07. to 14.07. Set the recurrence to every three weeks only on friday - now you should have the right set of display (also in the phone)

Hi FJ and thanks for the reply. I'm glad that the problem is reproduceable, I hate it when it's not.

I understand what you're saying about setting an all day event, but I need to be able to have the time set as free for the times that I am not working. So what I will do is just set Fri/Sat/Sun and create a new recurring single day event for the Monday.

Thanks for looking into this, the reply and a possible solution.

:D

Raymond

Ok, i think this solution would be near perfect.
As i said i think there is no way to bring your wished reccurrence into one single rule - i'm wondering how this is handled from Sunbird/Outlook
