I also have this problem. On one computer i have upgraded and i have the vista gadget. On the other I don't

Maybe on one PC you have a 32-Bit Version and on the other a 64-Bit? It's known that there were/are some problems with 64-Bit Version and the gadget but i don't know if these are fixed or not.

i have 32 bit vista... in new version it says handles sms and calls from vista side bar.. but could not find any option in software to do that...

On Vista 32bit it should work. The gadget gets installed during the setup. You just have to add it like other gadget using the + Button in the sidebar.
