I installed your latest beta 1.6.7 nightly 02-Feb-4709 20:30:26 because my notes synchro config went broke. All the rest worked with the alpha version before (so drivers and connection stuff through BT were OK). Check phone works like a charm, BUT he detects the phone with OBEX size = 0bytes (???)
Now I only can sync sms and calls made/missed. With organiser synchronisation, I get OBEX: cannot initiliase errors (see code below)
What I encountered with previous versions of MPE: I could never sync clock (but even in the settings, I disabled that feature). When looking at the code below, he's trying to sync the clock ???
Yes, I checked the connection items in the FAQ... The thing is: sms'es and call functionality is working, I assume they use the same connectivity (COM port, driver, ... ) as the calendar synchronisation... Search for device finds my T68 on COM4, which is selected in the F2 window.
In the screenshot you'll see this OBEX size:
I can try to reload the 'old' version of MPE and check to see if that version still works, however I'm glad to do some debugging if you guys want me to do this.
This is getting better, however, my phone reboots at the sync of notes attempt. Lotus notes, sms, ... works like a charm, those functionality is still OK
I wiped my internal notes on the phone (to eliminate crosslinking ID's and stuff), but even with empty db on phone and in MPE, still reboots.
OK, now it gets a littlebit more complicated. The phone reboots after MyPhoneExplorer sends the Sync-Alert. No idea why that happens. Maybe something in the alert raises the reboot.
Do you have the PC-Suite for your T68 and does the PC-Suite for your for phone allow the access to Notes on the phone (not Lotus notes) ?
Thanks for your reply! In my memory, this PC-suite was only for K/WXXX devices, howevery I found evidence that it was now opened for all devices! So I d'led latest version (3.208), it installs properly, finds my phone, pairs and nstalls 'new' drivers (BT modem and stuff) and then simply says: PC-Suite does not support your phone. Boem
Any other way to debug ?
Really appreciate your efforts!
PS. Are you aware of this 'sync-alert' issue with other phones ? Maybe it can be by-passed ?
The access to notes works only since the last betas and i have tested it with my old K700, the W800i and the K800i - no reboot on all devices. Whats with the CD you got with the phone ?
What I suggested in my PS was: are you using the same 'sync-alert' command for sms/calllist/calendar ? If not, why is this necessary here ?
I ploughed through my whole basement and found my box with CD! However, very disappointed: XTND software (plus image editor and mms composer)... On my old laptop I used XTND for Lotus Notes synchro, but now I got MPE which is way much better and more stable! And the notes synchro was not in XTND if I remember correctly...
Notes-Access is the only thing which works actualy only via SyncML, its a special Sync-Protocol and its new since the last betas. Can you find out if the T68 is able to work with SyncML in general ?
The T68 does not fully support time change due to travel or Daylight Savings. For details, see Devices that partially support time change .
It is possible to soft delete all of the calendar (events and tasks) data from the phone. Performing this operation will cause all of the data that exists on the server to be resent to the phone during the next synchronization session. To perform a soft delete for the calendar, select Calendar from the Organizer menu. Next, select Advanced , then Delete all.
This soft delete I use often when Lotus Notes sync does not work properly. That's the reason why I tried the notes sync with all notes trashed.
So to summarize: I don't think it won't be possible, but maybe there is a 'softer' way to implement this SyncAlert ?
