Bugs when creating a folder with : in the name

I made a folder with a colon in its name. On the phone it looks fine (although this character is not allowed in filenames), in MPE it shows "3A" in place of ":". Navigating to this folder fails. Soon after this the program crashed.

Obvious workaround: don't make file/folder names with invalid chars.

How could you craete a folder with : ? In the phone itself or with MyPhoneExplorer ?
