Thank you!
Don't think i can come up with other shortcuts i miss, but you could try to implement some of Explorer's shortcuts: here they are[/url]

Wastebasket
If this suggestion´s already been asked for and answered upon, I apologize, but a search came up with nothing so...
Wouldn´t it be nice to have a wastebasket functionality so that events, contacts, sms´s, calendar items etc that are deleted from the application are put in a waste bin for easy restoration if the need should arise? An accidental delete happens sometimes (especially with sms´s) and being able to restore that info would be great.
And FJ; Keep it up dude! This software is state of the art!

I think it would not be a good idea, because in doing so, many users would waste sms. They would send many of sms because the cause that they don't know that the ENTER is now for sending already instead of making a new line.Sammy hat geschrieben:Hi FJ!
Could you please add the option in new SMS window, that 'ENTER' = Send Message, rather than a new line in the text box.
my opinion ..

Perhaps a separate one for every data type? Or maybe just one for SMS, since that´s the only data type that syncs immediately with the phone. All the others (I believe) you have to sync manually, ie they get marked up for deletion/edit etc and are synced in a separate process.FJ hat geschrieben:@peter gutniak: basicly a good idea but a littlebit tricky to create a paperbasket with varient types of data

Oh. I just noticed something else, touching upon the issue raised by Sammy;
Have you changed the "send sms"-shortcut to shift+enter? Ah! No, only in the sidebar-gadget. Hmmm... Wouldn´t it be wise to keep the shortcuts similar all across the application? But I´m sure there´s a technical reason! It´s not important, just something I noticed...

Menu-File-Settings-Advanced 1-Show a confirmationwindow if messages get deleted in myPhoneExplorer while syncingOr maybe just one for SMS, since that´s the only data type that syncs immediately with the phone
There exists a global hotkey to open the window "New SMS". You can customize this hotkey. besides this if you have the focus in the "New SMS" - Windows you can send the message away using CTRL+S or Shift+Enter. Ther has nothing changed, it was already in earlier versions like this. But you are right - i forgot to implement CTRL+S in the gadgetHave you changed the "send sms"-shortcut to shift+enter?

Thanks, that option is already checked. What I meant was that if you make a change in let´s say contacts (in MPE), the contact in question gets marked up as being in line for execution of said change, next time the phone syncs. If you´ve chosen to for example delete a contact, it will immediately be marked for deletion, but nothing will happen until you synchronize.FJ hat geschrieben:Menu-File-Settings-Advanced 1-Show a confirmationwindow if messages get deleted in myPhoneExplorer while syncingOr maybe just one for SMS, since that´s the only data type that syncs immediately with the phone
SMS on the other hand are immediately deleted (on both MPE and phone) if you press delete and then enter. That´s the difference. And that´s why I thought it wise to add support for wastebaskets...
As a separate note, I noticed that there doesn´t seem to be any way of un-doing changes made in contacts. If you mark a contact for deletion, but then decide against it, the only option you have to make sure that it doesn´t get deleted next time you sync, is to "force edit". My suggestion would be to add an "un-" option to every normal one, being greyed out if the option is already active. For example:
Edit
Un-edit
Delete
Un-delete
Force as edit
Un-force as edit
To minimize the number of options in the right-click menu, one could use the all powerful "Revert" instead...
Take care...

Re: Post wishes, Feature requests here
I'd love more options in the "search for unknown numbers via internet". Such as, log it to a separate file, have the name and number in a balloon message in systray, rather than the current OK box prompt.FJ hat geschrieben:This Thraed is here for posting wishes so i have an overview what i should implement
I love the program and will donate again.
One more thing. I printed an SMS today and the &-char didn't print. The text int the message was FJSOFT&FJSOFT and it printed FJSOFTFJSOFT. I think a '&&' might be needed here
