sms file deleted

Dear sir
10 days before i exported my sms from archive(computer)
and save the file in computer. after saving light gone off and after a time when i open my phone explorer all the sms were removed and the file which i exported was also not there
i m really shocked because there many important sms in it
can i get back that sms or file
i want them at any cost plz help me

Maybe the export failed, but the internal SMS-base is not overwritten when the PC crashes. The messages should be located in %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\<your phone\SMS.dat and SMSArchive.dat

Hello I have the "same" problem....
I went out and then when I come back it was gone.....
When you Archive the sms... What must you do to lose it!?
It is simple to take away the fone yuser!?
Ur do you ned to do samthing ells?
I have 700 sms that I archive.... gone.....
I have locatit before.... it was Esy... but now.... gone....
I take away the yuser and then whwn I came back the sms that I Archive was gone.......

Since MPE v1.6 its no more possible that the archive-file gets deleted by a malfunction or crash. Are you sure that you did not delete the file yourself ? Havy you made any backups ?

I am sure.............. I dident.... Only thing I did was to take away the user... nothing ells....

But samthing that I did do was. take away SonyEricsonn PC Suit from the computer...... But that can not have annyting wiht MPE!?
Becous I first instal SE PC Suit and then MPE..
but maby!? Becuos it was after that the sms was gone....!?

I have only a smal backupp..... 70sms.... To bad I didient do a backupp whit all the sms...

First take away the PC suit... close the comp.
Then Open it upp next day.... couldent get the sms in... so I take away the user and then efter that all was gone....
I have done this before and no problem... (take away the user)

I am sure.............. I dident.... Only thing I did was to take away the user... nothing ells....

USUALLY, MPE stores the ApplicationData in a subdirectory of the user-folder.
You can change the location in the settings of MPE.
So what I think you did:
1) Changed the location of the AppData
2) As you described, you deleted the user
3) Install MPE (so the folder is at the usuall-position)
4) Deleted also this user

Don't delete your users - (Why do you do this?)
Change the MPE-DataFolder to another location, which is save of your deletings...

how do i open dat file to get sms

Replace the file with the used one in MyPhoneExplorer.

Be aware to save the existing files, so you don't loose any data.

You ask where the files are located to replace it - my question: Where did you get the dat-file to replace ?
