In MS Outlook it is possible to schedule a recurring meeting (eg: 9am every Wednesday)and then subsequently modify one occurance of the scheduled series of meetings to a different date/time (eg: 10am Thursday).
The problem is that this change is not picked up in the sync to phone.
The meetings will all be set as per the meeting schedule (eg 9am every Wednesday) not by their actual date and time |

Phone is a Sony w800i
The phone supports the recurring meeting however it takes the original meeting setting from outlook 2007 (eg: every wednesday @9am) but does not allow a single occurance of the recurring meeting to be moved to a different day/time. IN outlook the meetings show correctly and outlook will issue a reminder at the correct (modified) time. The telephone/My phone explorer does not recognise the altered single occurance of the meeting. therfore the meeting in the phone is scheduled incorrectly |

Correct - as is said: The phone does allow recurrences but it does NOT allow occurences of ruled events |

is it possible to have an option to allow the recurring calendar events to be interpreted/loaded to the phone as single calendar events.
I guess that by your response this is a common issue. |

FJ thanks.. but I can no longer use your product. It is essential that the meetings are scheduled at the right time. Sony Erricson's PC suite does this correctly, alas I will go back to using the Sony tools. Let me know if you every manage to schedule the meetings correctly. |

Hi,
I have the same problems and followed the discussion with interest.
What I do not understand is the relation to the phone ( I have K610i).
I understand that the synschronisation starts with the sync of your program MyPhoneExplorer with the Outlook program.
Once that sync is ready, my phone will be updated according the information in MyPhoneExplorer.
If I check the Organizer in MyPhoneExplorer, I don't see the alterations of one meeting in a whole series of meetings (Recurrence), as described earlier by AKKO54.
Until now I used MyPhoneExplorer very often, especially the Outlook synchronisation, but now the recurrent meetings become not reliable.
Please reconsider this feature: the agenda in my K610i should always be in-line with the OUTLOOK Calendar. |

I have the same issue. When one meeting is a changed in a recurring appointment, the phone doen't pick up the change. Son'y application does. I rely on my phone for my appointments. It will be nice if you can add the feature. I have to stop using this application. Great application though. |

I have the same issue and will also have to stop using the software as much as I hate to do so. I can't miss meetings because the sync software I use won't pick up that a single instance of a recurring meeting has changed.
Sorry, FJ! Great product otherwise. |

Just like everyone else here, I'm finding this problem with repeat appointments a real issue. I'm trying to sync my phone with my Google calendar via Lightning and can only get the first appointment from my Google calendar to show on sync. Its likely to be a show stopper for me too. |

For me this is also a real issue, however, so far i have only showed up at the wrong time& place once
Hope this can be improved in future versions (made a small donation today, hope this helps on your motivation:-), otherwise brilliant software. |

I need the same feature!
I can't get the synch to work with recurring appointments with the SE software (2.10.46) either - it creates recurring phone events & additional events for any variations. So I get two events for any modified occurrences of the rule.
Has anyone got any hints for getting the SE software to work?
This is with a K320i. |

Same for me. I only have the MPY obnly for one hour and already see this as a major drawback.
The entire purpose of the synchronisation is to keep the calenders in my outlook and my phone 100% the same (not nearly the sam).
If splitting the recurring event into singe events is a solution why not implement this as an option? that makes the feature much more usable.
FJ, please listen to your customers |
