K750 + Outlook Calender sync issue (recurring meeting)

I have a k750i that I sync to my Outlook calender. I am in Sydney, and my colleagues are in the US. When I sync everything works perfectly for meeting but for recurring meetings there is a bug in MPE.
The bug is that for meetings called by my colleagues in the US, the day will come out wrong, even though the time has been calculated correctly.

The annoying part is that Outlook does the conversion properly, and changes both the time and day into my timezone. (e.g. a meeting on Wednesday afternoon in the US, is THURSDAY morning, NOT Wednesday morning)

It would be nice if MPE had a mode that just copied the time and days directly from Outlook after it has done all its conversions.
The Sony software has the same bug, which is why I tried MPE.

I am sure that this should be a relatively easy bug to fix, as when MPE compares its TIMEZONE to the meeing date (in UTC), it should be able to figure out if the converted time will be the next day or not?

Given the international nature of business these days, this bug makes my life hell

I forgot to mention that my old Nokia and its software does this calculation correctly, and has always done so. That is a pain because I really like my Sony in all other areas.

MPE version 1.6.6
Outlook 2003 SP2 (Windows XP)
I have updated my phone to the latest firmware from Sony
Timezones on PC and phone all set correctly
Daylight savings set correctly.

Main issue remains is that for recurring meetings set by someone in the California (one day behind me), MPE forgets to set the day properly.
