Appointments entered in phone don't appear in thunderbird

@Gast: You do have thunderbird open when you do the item command from the command line, don't you? You also do have items in the calendars you sync with?

Please try the following command for exporting the items of one of your calendars:

thunderbird -mpe export-items=c:\items.txt;URL

Where URL is replaced by one of the Google URLs you have posted. This should export all items from this calendar, regardless of what you have set in the MPE preferences.

OK, so you sync both calendars, and the Google calendar is the default calendar for sync...

And you can still reproduce your problem with newly created entries from the phone?

What happens if you make your local Thunderbird calendar the default sync target in the MPE sync preferences? If you check the registry entry, the two URLs should have changed their position.

Do you still get errors with the local calendar beeing the default calendar?

If you get the same error, can you send me your calendar file from MPE's database directory via PM? I would like to check wether there is some strange entry in there.

@NP: I have Problems with the unofficial Plugin 0.9.19 and Sunbird 0.3.1. Its not possible to read out the correct dates from items in Sunbird. Always 00:00

i did it for both urls and it worked successfully. (at least that what it looks like!)

but another issue: my contacts on the thunderbird aren't being synced.
i'm forcing a phone->thunderbird sync of my contacts to a book called "myPhone" and it isn't being synced.

This is really strange. Please try the following command:

thunderbird -mpe export-cards=c:\cards.txt

If the myPhone-AddressBook is empty, it should create the file c:\cards.txt containing a single comment line with the addon version.

If this works, please enter a dummy contact in the myPhone-AddressBook and try syncing again.

Oh, and please tell me your version of thunderbird and die MPE-Addon.

so the first action worked (i got only the version number). then i added 'dummy' in thunderbird and ran it again and got this:

then i tried syncing again and nothing happened and there is no syncing.
i set the setting in the program to force phone-thunderbird (if that helps).

In MPE when you select Thunderbird and your myPhone-addressbook as sync target, there is an option to show a window where you can preview all changes.

Have you marked this option? Does the window open when you try to sync?

yes it is selected but doesn't pop up.
i noticed though, when i chose to view exceptions, the entire list is there, all unchecked.
i don't know if it helps, but the language of most contacts is in hebrew.

Well, the option I told you about should be NOT checked - if it is checked it will prevent the window from popping up, so you cannot see what MPE tries to insert.

Plese make this option unchecked and retry.

And I have to admit I haven't tried contact sync with strange character sets yet, so I do not now wether this might be a problem.

So please first try to get MPE to show the confirmation window so we can see what MPE wants to sync

EDIT:

I was talking nonsense. The window should appear when the checkmark is there. So it seems the problem is inside MPE, not the Mozilla Addon. I will try to get FJ in on this.
