Changing Phone and transfering data

Beitrag von Steve M »

Hi I've been using MyPhoneExplorer for some time with my K800i and think it is great. I have now got upgraded to a K850i .
How do I connect this and upload the calender etc. ? its doesn't accept it
Instructions will need to be very simple.
Is there a manual somewhere that I can down load?

Thanks for the link, but it means almost nothing to me.
How ? Is still 1 question
and Where ? is the manual is other.

With an idiots guild the number of users of this program would go from 1000s to millions. As phone technology moves on so fast it is important that it is easy and simple to upgrade it and itergrate it into other mainstream.
I am a user not a technocrat I need it spelt out :-)

Thanks in advance for you taking the time to help.

Before finishing I tried one more time and more through luck than jugment I can now get to my K850i but all the dates that I had on the calender of my K800i seem to be lot. How do I get them back and on to the K850?

Then you did not read the FAQ carefully.

Connect your new phone:
- plugin the cable
- choose "phone-mode"
- install the drivers for the phone
- go to menu-File-Settings and press "Search device"
- press OK and then Menu-File-Connect

You have now two profiles - one of the K800i and one for your new phone.

To transfer the calendar:
- Plugin the old K800i
- Change the profile in Menu-File-Users...
- Create the bachup using Menu-Extras-Create Backup
- unplug the K800i and plugin the K850i
- choose Menu-Extras-Restore Backup
