Is possible restore data from K700 to K850 ?

Hello FJ,

today I have discovered this incredible program for manage Sony Ericsson phones, very thanks to create it.

In next weeks, I want change my old K700 (september 2004 and fully functional) by a new K850. Thanks to MPE I have been able to save to hard disk all the content of my K700, specially and very important to me, my personal sms of this last years, that with your program it is possible. I have already exported them to HTML and Word.

My question is. With MPE I have created a backup of all content in my K700 (contacts, sms, etc). This option generates a 38 kb mpb file wich contains all data. When I buy my new Sony Ericsson phone, surely K850, with this mpb file I could recover to k850 those data that I have saved of my k700? Is possible? Is important for me the SMS, other data is not necessary.

I have Windows XP SP1 and I connect the K700 with my computer by Bluetooth (Conceptronic 100m USB adapter).

My K700 was bought new and free in September 2004.

Perfectly with MPE

It will work.

You will loose the timestamps of sent messages (it has nothing to do with the models, its a general issue).
