I cannot connect T610

Beitrag von Batman »

I would appreciate anyone who could help me connect T610 sony ericsson with MyPhoneExplorer
I managed to do that, but after I reinstalled windows I failed to do it again.
I'm using windows XP professional SP2
Type of connection: Toshiba bluetooth stack version 4.00.30 c
Phone T610
I see that filesyncronising and object push are the only services available to be used when connecting the phone to the pc via the bluetooth.

here is Myphoneexplorer log

Which version of the Toshiba-Stack you use ? Its known that Version 3 doesn't work correct.

Here you can look at a few screenshots, the thread is in german but i think the pictures will help you: http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1290

Hi, i see your version is 4.x....
Does your T610 already support serial service? If it does and if you don't get the
serial service in your BT manager, there could be something wrong within your BT installation.
Maybe a reinstall of BT stack can help.
Otherwise you can try to uninstall all of the Toshiba stack and use the
Microsoft stack which works very well if you dont need to have audio gateway services.

I still cannot connect MyPhoneExplorer, but I installed a program called Mobiledit and just after I chose the phone and connection type in the program (Mobiedit), it was able to connect to my phone.
This means there is a problem with MyPhoneXplorer

Hi again
concerning Mr.Deauvilles questions
1-the supported services in my phone are:
Dial-up, File transfer, Handsfree, Headset, Imaging, Object push, Serial port, and Synchronization.
2-When opening the window of the bluetooth manager and xxx on details to view details for the connection between the phone and the PC through the bluetooth I see that Serial port 1 is the service used and COM40 is the port used.

What are the programs needs to be installed so that MyPhoneExplorer works?

There are no further programs needed. In your first log COM40 was not present. Please choose COM40 in the settings and try it again.

If you have any possibilitys to initiate the service "Serial Connection" in your Bluetooth-Software then do this before.

Hi agian
Yesterday, after I had read your last reply tried to connect the phone to the PC and I chose COM40 as you said, but that didn't solve the problem. so I shut down the PC.
After som hours I came back, I started the BT Manager, the BT and connected the mobile to the PC, then I tried to start MyPhoneExplorer but this time I got a message saying that the program cannot start because there is a file missing  , so I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I tried again to connect the program to the phone after I chose COM40, but unfortunately I failed.
by mere coninsidense I noticed that when xxx on Monitor in MyPhoneExplorer I get detailed information about the level of battery charge of the my phone, but still cannot connect the program to the phone.
I closed MyPhoneExplorer and started it again, this time I started to get a message showing that the program is trying to communicate with the phone, but it stops half the way and gives a message saying that the phone could not be identified.
AND here is the big surprise, after several attempts to set the baudrate and OBEX packet size I managed to connect the program to the mobile after I set the baudrate to be 9600 and OBEX packet size to be 256
:D Now the program is working as it should
except that the status of phone memory is unfunctional (the upper left one), the other five are functional.
Now comes we to the bussiness.
I'll be gladely willing to pay you a donation if you made the program fully supports messages in arabic (write, send and receive messages written in arabic).
in the Inbox main window the arabic messages are displayed correctly, but in the lower part of the screen (or when right-xxx on a message and xxx properties) the arabic words are displayed as a series of question marks. All these messages uses UCS-2 text code.
Yesterday I sent a message written in arabic, but the recipient just received a series of question marks.

Best wishes

I am surprised - normally its absolutly unimportant which baud-rate/Packetsize you choose on a bluetooth connection cause the BT-Software normally handles the speed itself. This is a new info for me.

Cause arabic SMS:
MyPhoneExplorer uses common Textcontrols from VB and those textfields are not fully unicode-compatible. MyPhoneExplorer and the SMS encoding/decrypting engine is fully unicode compatible. It should work if you set your system-charset in windows to arabic (also called "codepage for non-unicode-programs)
