Problem with Lotus Notes Calender Sync

Firstly, I wanted to say what a great piece of software. It all works fine for me on my W810i, except that I cannot sync the organiser with Lotus Notes R6.5. It hangs up during the sync process, during 'Please Wait, Syncronise Organiser' screen with half the progress bar complete. I believe the calender mail file settings are ok, as it can find my mail box on the server ok.

Any suggestions please?

Can you tell me how many database-entries you have in your Maildatabase ?

I am not sure, but probably a large number, typically about 5 per day. I did try reducing the syncronisation period to 5 days in the past and 5 in the future.

Do you think the problem is to do with reading a large number of entries in Lotus Notes calender even if I only have a 10 day syncronisation window? If I leave it for a long time ( a few hours, do you think it will read them eventually?)

I did try reducing the syncronisation period to 5 days in the past and 5 in the future.

This will not help cause MyPhoneExplorer downloads everytime ALL entries.

Try this beta:

Here i have realized a filtering-option directly in Lotus so that only Appointments and Tasks are listed. Maybe this helps - but ensure that you have indexed the maildatabase. The beta uses "FTSearch" - if its interesting for you.

Normally MyPhoneExplorer updates the index automatically, but its a beta and on a few users the first index-action doesn't work.

Still takes probably about 3 mins, most of that time is reading the Lotus Notes Database.

Hmm - this makes me not happy

If you would delete old appointments it would be faster - i don't know if its possible for you to do this.

Thanks again for your assistance.

I'll have to live with the 3 mins it takes to read the LN database, as I don't want to delete old appointments at the moment.

I have noticed a bug though, some rearranged appointments in LN are not updated in my phone. I think it is when they are reoccuring appointments where an instance has been rescheduled. Perhaps you could look at this?

This is known. Notes can handle exeptions (like the most PC-Softwares), the phone is not able to handle exceptions so MyphoneExplorer alsways reads out the "Parent appointment" which is shown in the Meetingsview

My phone explorer seems to have developed a problem syncing with lotus notes (7.0.2) this was working but sadly has stopped. I am not aware of anything having changed but my pc is maintained but my companies automated update tool so anything is possible. The log entries i get now are as follows: (I did see something similar in the german section but i can't read it

If you sync with local databases then let the field "Domino-Server" empty

"Folder structure from Lotus Notes could not be listed!

I get the above error when click the "Advanced" button when trying to sync with Notes.

I have Lotus Notes 8 installed.

Notes is installed in C:\notes and my mail file replicate is at C:\notes\data\mail1\*****.nsf (***** - userid name omitted)

Any idea on the problem?

I have version 1.66 and I also tried the beta listed previously in this thread.

Run MyPhoneExplorer with the parameter "debug", reproduce the error and send me then the logfile
