Can not identify phone

Beitrag von Thomas »

All,

with the version 1.6.3, I had no problems. Since v1.6.4 sometimes MPE cannot identify my phone (K750i). This morning I made a connection, there was no problem. One hour later, I've got the message 'cannot identify phone'.

Is this a bug in the new version or can I do something to solve my problem?

Best regards,
Thomas

Hi

Hmm...
Does another program runs in the background, who use the same port? (restart the pc)
Which kind of connection do you use? BT, IRDA, Cable?
Then you can try to restart the phone. Also dismount the battery for a few seconds.

If this dont help, i've no future ideas....

It has nothing to do with the new version.

- Pair your phone again with the BT-Software
- if its possible in your BT-Software: Launch the service "Serial connection" manually

Just done, nothing helps. Something else that I can do?
I've also re-installed the software.
Renewed connection by PC and phone.

Problem solved!

Not really a good solution. I've totaly de-installed the software en re-installed again. Now it works.

So it seams to be a bug in de new softwareversion.

Regards and thanks for all help,

which version you have installed now ?
There are no changes in connection-topic between 1.6.3 and 1.6.4 .
Did you had problems with the official 1.6.4 or was it a beta ?

No, the P910i has another Operating system (Symbian) and this phone cannot be supported.

1. spammer
2. use the search-function
3. the p-series isn't supported because it's based on symbian which would request a complete new program...
