I have a problem using your software under Windows Vista. In order to get a serial connection I have to follow these steps everytime Vista is rebooted:
Remove the entire Bluetooth Adapter
Reconnect it and address a new port to the serial connection and pair my device (K810i) again with the computer
If I trie to connect after a reboot, MPE returns a message: "Could not identify phone" and "COM-port xx cannot be opened".
As you can imagine this is very annoying.
Someone else with the same problem and perhaps a solution for a stable connection using vista?
Unfortunately there is no additional software. I've donwload the most recent program from Belkin's internetsite. It is up to 57Mb in size, however it installs only some drivers. The only executable is a DFU (don't know what it is) and asks for an image.
first check: don't use your bluetooth dongle with an usb-hub
second check: is your pc 32bit and not 64bit
go to your Control panel and select bluethooth devices and add your device to it. Look wich port is set to your phone and than go to MPE. And select it.
When this won't work, check on the belkin site if the drivers are for vista. I didn't find them. So I think you have to wait until they are out, or buy another dongle. I've one from trust. First, for you look, check if the drivers are Vista ready
