suggest: backup msgs older then X days, keep at least X msgs

Beitrag von Mille »

One of the main things I do when using My Phone Explorer is to backup all my SMS:es.

I go to my Inbox, copy the oldest messages, archive them, then delete them. Then I go to my Sent Folder and do the same... I guess many others to the same?

So a function which automatically archive the oldest message on the phone + delete them would be nice to see. :- )

Example: backup/remove messages older then XXX days from phone, but keep at least XXX messages.

Which also makes it possible to use -- "backup messages older then 0 days, but keep at least 30 messages on phone" -- which will always make it 30 message on phone at anytime.

Got one question as well: I accidentally edited a timestamp of a sent SMS - How do I do if I want to remove the timestamp again?

1.) A time-based autoarchive is not possible cause there are no timestamps in sent messages. But there is a similar option already included: MyPhoneExplorer can auto-archive SMS if they were deleted on the phone and if they were present before the SMS-sync in MyPhoneExplorer

2.) Reedit the timestamp to 30.12.1899 00:00

I know that a similar option already exist, but the problem with that function is that that I dont know if I can remove a message from the phone (if I need space) when I'm traveling, cause I dont know if it have been synced or not.

And for the "Sent Messages" folder it will still be possible to archive the messages and leave, lets say, the last 10 sent message on the phone.

So an upgrade of that function would still be nice.
