MPE under Linux amd64

I have Wine 0.9.49 installed on Ubuntu Gutsy amd64. I downloaded the latest version of MyPhoneExplorer 1.6.4. I tried installing it, but the installing window hangs at the line "Registering: c:\Program Files\MyPhoneExplorer\DLL\ShellMgr.dll".

...and it hangs. It's not stuck, it just doesn't do anything. I tried installing the VB6 runtime from Microsoft's website (VB6.0-KB290887-X86.exe). The extraction works, but when I try to run the extracted install flile:

I don't want to have to create a Windows partition just for this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd given up on that because, as I said, I wasn't able to install the VB6 runtime library.

I gave it a shot, and I don't understand step 5. Copy "stdole2.tlb" and "oleaut32.dll" from Windows into ~/.wine/windows/system32. Where are these files? They're not in c:/windows, or in the zip file.

These files should be in the vb6-runtimes.
Please be patient up to a Wine-User will take a look at this thread - he can help you a liitlebit better than i.
