Another wish: Button (or menu) with the possibility of defining the any AT command/script, it would be very useful for advanced users (and probably not so difficult in the realization?). |

Would it be possible to add the message delivery details onto the phone so when a delivery report comes back MyPhoneExplorer sends the info to the phone so you can see which messages have been delivered? |

@wlserwis: In FMA you have a full vbs-interface. I don't want to add such a thing in MyPhoneExplorer cause its not good for the stability
@Matt: Sorry, not possible |

My wish is to be able to set some Google Calendars as read only.
For example, I have a Google calendar set up for birthdays only which I share with my wife. I don't want to add all my work appointments etc from my phone to this. I'd like to be able to just read from this calendar with my phone so I always have birthdays on it.
Oh - and while on the subject of birthdays - I'd like to be able to set reminders for these at one week before hand so I can buy presents.
Thanks for the BEST programme for synching phones. Sony should be paying you lots of money for this! |

v1.6.3 supports also readonly-calendars
Its no problem to set the reminder one week before. Just go to the organizer and change the reminder.
Best regards FJ |

Wish: a "Save in Sent/Archieve on PC" button on SMS-input dialog.
Reason: Sometimes the MPE tells that the message couldn't be delivered, while actually it is delivered and the recepient replies to it. In this case the message is not saved either in Phone memory or in archieve. |

Wish (bug?):
Even after deleting incomming messages by MPC, my k700 still showing on desktop, that they are! I must enter the folder in phone manually - only then they are disappearing. It's very irritating...

OK, I bagged out of SE PC Suite because of reliability problems with my USB connection, etc. I found MyPhoneEasy and it is really working for me. I'm setting my W750i up for my wife.
However, the only problem that I've had is with Outlook/Calendar synchronization. I'm specifying a range of days for appointments (because most phones have a limited number of appointments they can handle). However, if there is a recurring appointment in there it gets confused and assumes that the appointment applies to the whole date range. However, in Outlook, you can make exceptions to a recurring series. These changes are not noticed by MyPhoneEasy sync and I've now got a bunch of recurring appointments on days when they are not happening on Outlook.
I would suggest, as a simplifying assumption, that recurring appointments are treated as single appointments on the phone, which is not equipped to deal with, create, or edit recurring appointments. Or, just fix this bug.
Thanks,
The Listener |

Would it not be nice to be able to make your own "scripts" with help of the Phone Keypad function..
Example:
When you plug the cable in to your phone, MyPhoneExplorer connects to it automatic and does the multi-sync..
Then it runs the scripts you have done for example it could turn on bluetooth, change the sound profile.
Maybe this could be solves without the Phone Keypad function??
Might be a slow way to do it ??
Anyway just an idea..
Thx for a great software! |

@wlserwis: For you its maybe a strange argument - not more. I think i be able to see problems before they will happen and i don't add features which maybe raise alot of work to support it.
@The Listener: I know the problem - the phones doesn't support excetions in ruled events. I also thought about splitting up them to single events. This is not a good solution. It blows up the memory of the phone and it will be very hard to sync them correct back.
@langeman: Its not needed to make double posts in my forum |

Actually, if the phone doesn't support some functionality that Outlook provides, it could be argued that sync will always be broken. Better, I think, to reduce the functionality so that what the phone supports will actually work. So, a philosophy of "Make sure that what shows on the phone matches what is on Outlook" gives you a target to hit that is actually achievable. If you convert recurring events into single events, then you actually have the possibility of having changes on the phone turn into rule exceptions in Outlook.
Yes, this eats up memory, but this will take care of itself over time. Better for me as a user to scale back the range of dates than to have something that is broken.
Thanks for your hard work! |
