'+' sign when replying to SMS

I'm from Mexico (country code 52), each time I click reply to and SMS a '+' sign is added at the start of the phone number but my country code is missing. Is it possible to fix this?

I'm afraid i do not understand your problem. Please tell me a sample how it is and how it should be (you can wipe out the last 3 chars of the phonenumber)

for example... using my own phone number, this is:

+ Country Area Phone
+ 52 55 3899 8XXX


this is how I would receive SMS from anywhere in the world. and we now '+' is the international access char.

The way I store contacts in my phone is:

Area Phone
55 3899 8XXX

now.... let say I receive an SMS and read it in MPE, although I saved the phone number as above, MPE displays it as follows:

+ Area Phone
+ 55 3899 8XXX

as you can notice, Country Code is missing. This happens the same when I hit reply.

OK, please post the PDU of such a message and tell me again how the number should be and how it is. To get the PDU: Rightclick the message->Properties->>
