some contacts keep synchronizing

Hello team,

Thanks for your help!

I recently switched to a new phone, an Oppo Reno 14, running Android 16.

I copied all settings to completely match the settings I used for my old Phone, Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

Out of the > 1000 contacts, some 150 contacts keep synchronizing each time.
I tried to force Outlook on the phone, vice versa, and also sync both.

I do not know how to see what triggers the synchronisation each time.
Hence, I have no idea what to do to solve this problem.

I did not observe this situation with my old configuration/

The host is a Windows 10 machine. I double checked, and all MPE SW is the most recent version.

Could you please advise?

Your problem is likely due to the addition of the Department field in MPE in the new version 2.3.
If forcing a synchronization from Outlook > phone is unsuccessful, then do the following:
- In MPE, select all affected contacts and press <Delete> to mark them as deleted.
- Force a synchronization from Outlook > phone.

I tried it with two entries. Didn't work.

Any other ideas?

And: How can I extract the list of the affected contacts?

By the way, I switched to the new phone two days ago. I think I used 2.3 for quite a while.
I did not update the SW on my Windows machine recently.

On your mobile phone:
Install MPE-Client beta

On the PC:
If you haven't already done so, install the MyPhoneExplorer 2.3
then the MPE beta version

Start MPE in debug mode

Code:

"c:\Program Files (x86)\MyPhoneExplorer\MyPhoneExplorer.exe"

When synchronizing contacts, you will now see a confirmation window. Select the "Compare StopItem..." button. Copy the contents of both windows and send them to me via email.

Started MPE in CMD with:
"c:\Program Files (x86)\MyPhoneExplorer\MyPhoneExplorer.exe" debug

I will be travelling in the coming 10 days and will very likely not be able to investigate during this time. I will pick it up again after my return.

I can see a difference in the contact note: In Outlook: "... Marketing Management, SL Product Marketing" ends after "... Marketing Managem" on the phone.
The problem that the Android system shortens contact notes is known, however, this shouldn't lead to a synchronization conflict like yours (some 150 contacts keep synchronizing each time...).
MPE should ignore that normaly Confused
