Hello everyone,
I regularly use MyPhoneExplorer, mainly via USB, to sync and manage contacts, SMS messages, and calendar data on my Android device. However, since switching to Windows 7/10 (or a specific phone model), I have encountered the following difficulties:
USB Connection Errors:
MyPhoneExplorer displays an error message such as "Unable to establish connection" or "ADB not found" when attempting to connect via USB. USB debugging is enabled, and the driver is installed correctly.
Missing or Outdated ADB:
The program searches for adb.exe in the DLL folder but does not find this file (or the file is too old), causing connection problems. For example, a log message reads:
"No ADB found..."
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Do you have a workaround that works?
How do you reliably handle USB connectivity?
Is there any difference depending on the phone model or USB port?
I’d love to hear about your experiences and tips—thanks in advance for sharing your expertise! |

I use MPE within wine (so it probably doesn't exactly fit here, but still - it may give you some idea...), and had similar issue (wrong ADB versions...).
My solution was to download and unpack the content of the latest SDK Platform Tools (https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools) in "Program Files" folder,
rename original adb.exe to adb.exe.orig or whatever you like (the one provided by MPE, in DLL folder under it) and create a link to a new adb.exe (one in SDK Platform Tools folder, just unpacked) in MPE DLL subfolder, where the renamed adb.exe is (with the same name adb.exe, of course).
You can try it with: "adb.exe devices -l", and it should list you your phone.
After that, MPE (the latest one, version 2.2) found phone over USB instantly. |
