Sync samsung contacts

I have changed from google contacts to samsung contacts.
On my phone all is good I have selected samsung contacts
Alas on my tab samsung contacts is not avail only phone contacts and google.
what am I missing please

I can reproduce the problem you describe on two devices (Android 15 13). It's likely that third-party apps like MPE, DW Contacts, and Google Contacts are affected. Can you tell me why you're not using the local "phone" account?

I once contacted the Samsung hotline and received the following response:"... in newer Android versions, the switch for sharing contacts from our account is no longer available as it is with Google accounts. As a result, third-party apps can no longer directly access our contacts. This restriction was introduced with the newer Android privacy guidelines. Unfortunately, there is no way to circumvent it..."

on my s25 I can switch but the notepad s8 is a no go
I am currently trialing the phone account

What Android versions are on the devices? If you already have Android version 16 on the S25, Samsung may have already there fixed the problem.

all devices are android 15
I am in australia and we are always last in line for updates

What I meant was this: For me, the Samsung account is displayed on devices with Android 6, 9, and 10. It is not listed on devices with Android 13 and 15. Samsung itself claims that they have blocked something in this regard. Since your S25 lists the account, I was hoping that the device has Android 16 and that Samsung had lifted the restriction?! Unfortunately, this theory is no longer tenable, since you have Android 15 on both devices?!
