I've been using MPE for some number of years, and I've been happy with how it behaves.
My primary interest is in synchronizing an Android phone (currently a Samsung A53) with Microsoft Outlook. I'm currently using the desktop version of Outlook that is bundled with a MS 365 Enterprise subscription. For me, one of the important things is of being able to synchronize the phone directly to my local copy of Outlook, and working through a PST file, and where I'm not synchronizing to a server calendar at either Google or Microsoft. I normally sync my phone at home using wi-fi, but I will use a USB connection occasionally, and if I'm away from home, I always use USB.
Something that has turned up in the last several months is that if I create a new calendar event on the phone, it's not synchronizing back to Outlook, but I have no problems with creating an event in Outlook and synchronizing to the phone. I'm not seeing any other issues with synchronization in either direction, including Contacts, Tasks or Notes (and I don't try to synchronize SMS content of files).
Something small is missing, but I'm not finding what that might be.
Something that could be an issue is that a couple of months ago, I remember finding a misconfiguration, where I was synchronizing data to Google, and I turned that off. I suppose that could be the problem, but I don't remember enough of the timing, and it seems that my problem is older than that.
Any ideas of what I might be missing? And if I am seeing symptoms of turning off synchronization with Google, what can I be doing to ensure that Outlook is getting those events, but not Google. I know that in the past, I haven't had this kind of issue with previous phones, and I think I wasn't having problems with this phone until a couple of months ago, even though the phone itself is getting close to 3 years old.

Probably you have created the event in a wrong calendar of the phone. Please check this in the appointment details. Its also possible to include any calendar for sync with Outlook, but be careful with this because it can cause many new appointments in Outlook. You can select which calendars MyPhoneExplorer does sync in the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone in "Calendars to sync..."
Another option is that its really a sync error inside MyPhoneExplorer - very seldom but possible. In this case just press the socond buttton in the toolbar of the calendar view in MyPhoneExplorer (Download entire) |
