SMS restoring painfully slow on Android 15

did you receive Android 15 on your Samsung and had the time to check for SMS restoring issues?

Yes, the problem should be fixed now. Please download and install again 1.0.48

I'm glad to report that the SMS restoring now works. Cool

For others in the future trying to use this app on Android 15 and possibly onwards:

- when you install the 1.0.48 version you have to be really careful when enabling all of the permissions this now old app needs. Besides the ones it asks you will also manually have to enable SMS Access by first allowing the change to be made usually providing some password or fingerprint and then you can change the permission.

- I also had to manually choose the MPE Client app to be the default SMS app in the phone settings.

Then it started to restore the text messages.

Also keep in my that it didn't start right away but in my case there was a 30-60 seconds of waiting when it looked like the Windows app was not responding but then after that time it started backing up and quickly.
This was probably because my .mpb file is almost 200MB with 12.000 text messages.

edit: I've restored all the text messages to a brand new Oneplus 13 phone with Android 15 and it works like a charm. Easy and veryfast! Good job!

I downloaded and installed 1.0.48 from APK-mirror, granted all rights on the phone, including setting it as standard sms app. However, the PC-client (2.2) seems to be waiting for a response from the phone-client and then times out (same as described above). Is there another source for the old 1.0.48 version or another setting on top to the above mentioned? Thanks!

I am having the same issue with Android 15 and 1.0.48.
I set the MyPhoneExplorer client as the default SMS app on my Samsung S23+.
The phone vibrates when I try to delete SMS messages from the PC, but no message is displayed on the phone. Before the Android 15 update, I could delete SMS messages from the phone when using MyPhoneExplorer on my PC.
