I have used this excellent program since 2013 & 2023, with no problems in syncing Contacts. I use Outlook 2010, Android 14 phone, MPE v2.2 on the PC, with the latest MPE downloaded from Google installed in the phone.

Settings: Force Outlook -> phone

This past week a fault has developed (after a Windows 11 update 24H2). Everytime I sync Contacts, it updates all 1882 of my contacts each time, which takes ages, even though none of the contacts have changed. When I sync again, they are all updated again (and again).

It has never had this error before. It previously only updated contacts which have actually changed.

I have tried deleting all contacts in the phone and started afresh, but it still repeats the same error. I have tried all settings without success fixing the fault.

I hope someone knows of a fix as it has now become unusable.

- Install please MyLocalAccount
After installation, the account must also be activated: Mobile => Settings => Accounts => Add

- Phone => MPE-Client => Settings => contact-accounts to sync enable only MyLocalAccount

- Sync

Thank you for your assistance. Unfortunately it is still faulty. Please note that it was working perfectly well using the built in 'Phone' account (I do not use the gmail or any other contacts, just the built in one).

One day (maybe after some update?) it went faulty. No settings in any place on the PC or in phone had been altered. Every time I went to sync it copied all 1882 contacts even though none had been changed.

I read your post and did this:

- I deleted ALL contacts from the Phone account. No contacts could be seen.
- I installed the mylocalaccount.apk in the phone and added it in accounts using the settings.
- I opened MPE in the phone and altered its settings (the first time they have been changed) and set it to add new contacts to MyLocalAccount and to sync accounts to MyLocalAccount.
- I opened MPE on the PC (Windows 11 with Outlook 2010), connected the phone via WiFi as normal (info: you cannot use a USB connection if your phone has Knox security, which the Samsung A15 has).
- I altered the sync settings on the PC to MyLocalAccount, saved and synced.
- MPE said there were no contacts in the phone (which is correct) and asked to download from the program to the phone. I accepted to allow MPE to download 1882 new contacts.
- When finished, I opened the phone and all my contacts were there.
- I did not touch anything and I synced again from the PC and it paused/checked then resynced all of the 1882 contacts again.
- I powered everything off and back on again and ran MPE. It resynced all of the 1882 contacts, again.
- Every time I sync every contact is resynced even though none have been changed.

Changing to use MyLocalAccount from the Phone account has not corrected the problem at all.

It is worrying that this fault has only recently happened. It has worked perfectly for many months without anything being altered.

I hope the above assists in locating where the problem could be.

and with the current beta (as mentioned from FJ)
