MPE reverts to German

When I install MPE it installs in English, but if I restart it, it changes to German, even though the language setting in the Options (Einstellungen>Oberflache) is English. I use a single user account with administrator privileges on Vista Business and don't have any other accounts set up on the machine. This is a great product which gave me no problems under XP. Any ideas?

Maybe MyPhoneExplorer cannot load the languagefiles. Please take a look at C:\Program files\MyPhoneExplorer\languages and check if all languagefiles are in it and if you have read-access to it.

Do you see the whole languagelist in the options ?

I can see all languages in the options. In C:\Program files\MyPhoneExplorer\languages the English.lng file did not have the read attribute ticked. I have ticked this and restarted MPE but it is still showing German even though English is selected. I will try a system restart later and see if that helps.

Ok, I have restarted, but situation is still the same. All language files present, all languages showing in the Options, English selected, but German showing.

I have uninstalled and deleted all phone data - then re-installed, selecting English in the process. Again, the product appears in English the firs time, but when restarted, it reverts to German.

Ay more ideas? I am using Vista Professional with Office 2007.

It has nothing to do with restarting and it has also nothing to do with reinstalling. AFAIK it must have to do with the read-permissions.
