PC version 2.1 problem

Yesterday I updated my phone client to 3.2 and all my syncs ran well afterwards.
Today I updated the PC software to 2.1 and am now having problems with my file sync jobs.
When I select a specific file from a folder, that file gets synced to my PC, BUT also any sub folders get copied to my PC as empty folders.
"Include subfolders" has NOT been selected.
I did a test syncing from PC to phone with similar conditions and the same problem exists. (all subfolders are copied to phone)

I tried uninstalling the client on the phone and reinstalling it, to no avail.

Am I doing something wrong? I doubt it, as all the syncs used to work perfectly.

Is it a simple process to move back to PC version 2.0?

Any help appreciated!

Yes, that's right, many users wanted this feature (transferring empty folders).
I hope FJ provides a tweak to turn this off.
Until this is realized, you can use the https://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExpl ... up_2.0.exe
just install over it

Exactly the same is happening with my installation.
I did reinstall version 2.0 and works fine now.
Upgrade 2.1 is bad.

I use file sync jobs to transfer pictures to my PC
With version 2.0 all pictures are already copied to my PC.
With version 2.1 a lot of old pictures are transferred to my PC again.

I too have problems with 2.1
Calendar no longer syncs to thunderbird (115.3.2) on windows 10 with entries from phone app 3.2) on Android 12. It just hangs.
Tried to reinstall Myphonexplorer 2.0, got a failure message (error writing myphoneexplorer.exe) but when complete still running 2.1

I had to completely deinstall from PC using
IObit uninstaller to get rid of all the registry entries, etc until I could do a clean 2.0 install.
Windows deinstall would not clean it up sufficiently

I'm avoiding 2.1 .

I also have this issue and will be moving back to version 2.0 to avoid.
I can't see that it was mentioned in the changelog so I wonder if it was intended.
I definitely want the option to turn it off.

Yes same problem with 2.1 beta and file sync
A lot of old files are downloaded again from Motorola moto Phone with Android 11 to PC.
Works fine if I reinstall 2.0

No problem with Xperia Z4 tab SGP771 Android 7.1.1

Me, too. "Updating" v2.1 to v 2.0 resolved the problem.

OK, this should be fixed...
- launch MyPhoneExplorer in Debugmode Version 2.0 (Win-Key+R -> myphoneexplorer debug -> OK)
- do your regular filesync where which should run good
- backup the logfile: Menu-File-Settings-Show logfile
- then install MyPhoneExplorer 2.1
- launch MyPhoneExplorer again in debugmode
- start the sync, after a few files you can abort the sync
- backup the logfile again Menu-File-Settings-Show logfile
- send me both logfiles via email with a link to this thread

FWIW, it would be helpful if you were to increase the version number when you make such changes, FJ. I am hesitant to try v2.1 again and will wait for the next version, since v2.0 works just fine for me...

Although I cannot speak for FJ, I think, in this context should be fixed probably means I would like to fix it rather than I just fixed it. Your problem is probably not yet fixed, but your log might help to do so.
Intermediate versions between the main versions have nightly plus a date/time stamp appended to the base version number and are therefore are unambiguously identified.

At the top of all posts is a heading with a start icon:
