2 different phones MPE recognizes as the same user
2 different phones MPE recognizes as the same user
I hope this has not been discussed before, but I could not find anything with a search. As a long time user of MPE, I have many phones on it as different users and never had a problem. Today I was trying to transfer the contacts from an XZ1 to the Samsung S10e and noticed that the XZ1 which has been used by two different users now keeps going back to the original one. Then when I connect the two different Samsung S10e phones, MPE recognizes the two different phones as the same one and will not let me assign a different user the second S10e. I have never struck anything like this before with MPE so I am hoping someone can help. I am running a Win10 PC and a reboot makes no difference.
MPE only supports one user for one device at a time.thebaz hat geschrieben:... noticed that the XZ1 which has been used by two different users now keeps going back to the original one
Please describe the situation in more detail.
- Uninstall the MPE client on an S10thebaz hat geschrieben:Then when I connect the two different Samsung S10e phones, MPE recognizes the two different phones as the same one and will not let me assign a different user the second S10e
- Delete the file: Internal Storage\.MyPhoneExplorerer\deviceid.txt
- Restart your phone
- Install the MPE client
- close MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone and on the PC
- run MyPhoneExplorer on PC in Debugmode (Win-Key + R -> myphoneexplorer debug -> OK)
- connect to the phone via USB Cable
- run the problematic message sync
- after lets say 5 Minutes waiting please create a copy of the file \Internal storage\.MyPhoneExplorer\AndroidDebug.txt (probably you have to do this directly on your phone)
- send me the AndroidDebug.txt and also the regular logfile (Menu-File-Settings-Show logfile) via email with a link to this thread

Thanks so much for the response, I will do that and send it to you as requested. just as an update, messages sent after the original connection to MPE are now loading into MPE and I can write and send messages from MPE, it is only the previous messages to last night that will not load and it is not both S10e phones only one of them.
Cheers
