Every time I exit the Settings dialog by pressing OK (even if I haven't changed any settings), MyPhoneExplorer becomes completely inresponsive for about 10 seconds (even Windows says it is "Not responding"). After that it works fine again, with the new settings.
How come it takes such a long time, and can anything be done to shorten that time?
I do not remember if it has always been like that since I installed the program a week ago, or if it is a new behaviour recently, but it has been like that for at least a couple of days. |

It could take so much time if you change the setting "Crypt files on the PC" |

Yes, I would understand that - but I haven't touched that setting at any time, and it is deselected... |

It happens every time I close with OK, even if I had just opened the Settings dialog and immediately press OK to close it again.
It never happens when I close the Settings dialog with Cancel.
So I guess something in the code that saves the settings takes a looong time on my computer. Funny that it takes the same amount of time (about 10 seconds) every time - some kind of timeout?
Does the saving of the settings do anything else than simply writing the settings to the registry? |

There is nothing written to the registry. Near everything is saved in simple ini-files. |

Ah, okay, now I found the ini file (general.ini).
But the program must do something else before, while, or after writing the ini file? Writing the simple ini file itself - 1834 bytes - cannot take 10 seconds and leave the program inresponsive for that period? |

I will add some logmessages to see which action needs so long. Tomorrow i'll give yu the link and then we can go deeper into it. |
