I used to sync my calendar with a sliding time window of 30 day in the future and 180 days in the past, but some time ago I moved to "Sync all events" - but MFE still prompts me to delete events older than 180 days...
I use MFE 1.8.15 on Windows 10, syncing with Outlook of "Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise" of the latest version. The phone is Samsung S20 and Android 10.
