Problems with the latest myphoneexplorer update. All my contacts are duplicated in my phone. And all spaces in the notes replaced by /n

I also have a problem with my contacts.
The app says that there are no contacts on my phone and do I wish to sync them with Outlook. I know my contacts are the same in outlook and my phone. I checked both again and they are the same - so why is the app now reporting that my phone has no contacts?
I have not synced them as I reckon I'll have duplicate contacts on my phone. Has the app changed where it looks for contact information on an Android phone?

Try to reload from phone (Blue Arrow) befor trying to sync.

Also check the settings for which contacts are to be synced.

I've already done what you have suggested before I posted my post. But I did it all again this evening and I noticed that the desktop app shows, for a fleeting moment, the word SIM under the Phone contacts section. I do not have any contacts on my SIM card they are all, and always have been, on my phone and Google account.
Is there anyway to get the program to look on the phone for contacts and not the SIM.

One other question, I am fairly sure that when I launched the desktop app before that it would automatically start the app on my mobile, this no longer happens. I recently changed my phone about a month ago and have had to start the mobile app first before I start the desktop app.

Still not picking up the contacts on my phone. If there was a function to attach an image I would post one which might explain the problem better than my ramblings.

Please check under Phone = MPE-Client = Settings = contact-accounts to sync that only one relevant contact account is activated there

Thus, editing MS-Word or Excel files possible only by closing MPE.
Is this what the author intended? ;)

since the update, I've been missing calls on my phone … finally worked out why today !

when I connect MPE on PC to phone (Wi-Fi) , it turns ringer off and just leaves phone in vibrate mode.

assume it's a setting somewhere ?

found it !

on the phone, "silent mode on active connection" was set to vibrate only. seriously can't recall setting that myself but can't rule out this being user error on my part. :oops:
