New Phone, can i restore contacts?
I have over 200 contacts on my phone. Due to the handset being faulty, is it possible to connect the new phone when it arrives tomorrow and upload the details such as contact numbers and text messages onto the phone, or do i have to resinsert them manually again? (I have more than can fit on my sim card's memory)

hey there,
my old phone got stolen and i'd like to import all contacts into my new phone and all saved text messagens (in archive) into the myphoneexplorer-account of my new phone.
My old lost phone was an w800i - the new one is a K800 -
I cant create a backup in the menu, cause it just says it cannot connect - which is obvious since i dont have the old phone connected - so how can I get to create a backup of all the data i have saved in the myphoneexplorer and get it into the new phone?
I used to have this other software called Float's Moile Agent, but it deleted ALL my saved messages when I was updating it to a newer version, so right now i am reluctant to try out too many methods myself, since I fear the same might happen in myphoneexplorer.
So in short:
Can someone tell me the official correct way to get the data (contacts + archived sms) from my old to my new phone when the old is lost?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Official way:
Export the data from the old profile, import it into the new profile. Just select all items in Contacts/Organizer/SMS, rightclick and export: Contacts as *.vcf-File, Organizerdata as *.vcs and messages as *.sms-File. Then switch to the new profile and import the data. Please note: You cannot import *.sms-Files directly to phonestorage. First import them into the archive, then rightclick->upload to phone

Now you tell me! My K800 died on me last week and I got a replacement. Foolishly, I didn't make a backup! I only needed my organizer data.
The method I used was as follows:
-copy c:\documents and settings\[username]\application data\myphoneexplorer\[old phone profile]\organizer.dat
-put the file somewhere memorable (like the desktop)
-rename the file to filename.vcs
-send filename.vcs to your phone (I used IR, as no cable or bluetooth at with work laptop)
-synchronise organizer to copy organizer data to new phone profile
