Sent SMS not saved

hello.
i've recently changed phone to huawei CLT-L29 with android 8.1.0.
my problem is, that when i'm sending SMS from PC it is not stored anywhere - when dialogs (succesfully sent) closes SMS looks like it never existed. SMS is sent correctly and recipient(s) got it.
switching (on my mobile) default application to MPE Client solves that problem - but previous mobiles i used not behaved that way (it is 4th o 5th mobile i use with MPE; switching default app was needed only to delete SMSes via PC - sending SMS always saved messages correctly).
am I doing anything wrong? what should I do (swithing app is very inconvinient). i'm connecting phone with PC by WiFi usually.
