work/edit the phonebook without any phone connected via USB
I find it useful to be able to work / edit the phonebook without any phone connected to the PC;
I would like to be able to choose a previously saved backup (XXX_1_.mpb), open it with MyPhoneExplorer and edit the address book, and then decide whether to upload the changes to the phone or save them on the PC (XXX_1bis_.mpb). I do not know if I can explain well.
Is it possible to do it and am I not able to? Light me thanks

I am grateful for your interest in this problem
Ok, with this function I can recall the address book, present in a BackUp file, but there are two important drawbacks:
the user settings are not loaded, so the address book appears to be edited differently than how it was saved in the .mpb file.
MyPhone explorer does not load: text messages, calls, and everything else.

Yes, the user settings are not in a Backup file.
The user settings can't be saved with MPE
What exactly is your problem with the imported contacts?
The text messages you must import in the Message archive and from there copy into the phone
The calls can not be manipulated

Thank you for your reply, your indications have allowed me to solve an annoying problem.
Now I have found that this program has two limits; remaining however the best on the place.
How do you suggest some changes to the developers?
I would like to suggest:
a) possibility to save all the program settings in the backup file
b) possibility to (recall) re-process backup files with / without connected phone
c) possibility to compare two backups processed at different times or in different terminals (very useful)
