Cannot connect

I have downloaded and installed MPE on my computer (Win 7), and the client on my phone (Android 6.0, Galaxy J3 Luna Pro). On the phone client, I set "avoid standby". I tried setting a PIN, and also without a PIN. I have tried both WiFi and explicitly setting the IP address in the Settings/Connection dialog. In all cases it fails to connect. My log file is below, showing an attempt at WiFi, and then with explicit IP address.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Can you 'ping' the phone from your PC? If not then there's a more basic problem.

Well that was a clue, the answer is no, and now I feel really dumb. The phone was on the "guest network" part of my router, and the PC was on the regular internal network part of my router, so they couldn't see each other. Once I got them both on the same network, everything worked as advertised.

Should have been able to figure that out for myself, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Very nice program.

No problem, glad it's sorted. I also find wifi the most sensible option for connecting to my PC but it sometimes takes a couple of attempts to connect successfully.
