i have been using this application for a long time.
My Samsung galaxy S7 edge was just updated to the Nougat OS a few days ago.
I cannot connect to my phone any longer via USB, Bluetooth and WiFi.
I get an error the phone can't be identified.
connection not working
MyPhoneExplorer does not seem to work with Android Nougat
Hi, after migrating to Android 7.0 "Nougat" as of last weekend similar issue here - I cannot sync my phone (Moto G4) calendar any more with MS Outlook calendar. when connecting PC and phone setup there seems to be some initial connection established since I may connect to the Phone and lookup e.g. the phone status ("Monitor", "Memory status" or "Notifications").
I may also sync the call log.
However, when trying to sync the Organizer then the PC software seems to hang forever. At the same time, MyPhoneExplorer on the Phone states: "waiting for connection".
After quite a few minutes the PC S/W stops with error "Connection to phone not possible!"
After pressing "ok" another error window pops up stating: "The connection to the phone was lost! Ensure your phone did not change to standby-mode, if needed restart 'MyPhoneExplorer Client' on the phone and then start the sync-operation again."
(From here we start again at the top.)
I tried both, USB and Bluetooth and ensured the settings are correct.
USB connection: developer mode active, USB debugging active, USB cable plugged in.
Bluetooth: active, connection established with PC.
MS Outlook (O386) version 2016
MyPhoneExplorer PC version 1.8.8
Any additional information that I may provide?
Best Regards, G.J.

Connection Issues with "Nougat" Android 7.0
Additional note: when starting the PC MPE client in debug mode (refer to post http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27216 for details) then the connection between MPE PC and Andorid 7.0 worked well for me.
And, last but not least, I have downloaded the latest version of mpeclient.apk. For deteails, please refer http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.ph ... client+apk
No further hiccups any more. Both, USB and Bluetooth, work properly.
Kind Regards, G.J.
