Duplicate cal entries with every sync on andriod phone

Hello,
We are having issues with syncing calendar on an android phone from lightning.

Was working fine until phone was replaced, we are using the old sim card.
We are on the most current version of myphoneexplorere.

When we sync, we force from lightning (the master) to the phone (the copy) so the transfer is only going 1 way.

Each time we sync we create duplicate entries in the phone for every event. It is as if it does not see the existing entries as the same ones on the calendar.

I suspect that perhaps it is a general phone recognition issue, but I am not sure where or how to fix it.
