Does not automatically sync

Hi,
For some weeks (/months) now, MPE does not automatically sync to my phone when I come home and into the same wifi network. Instead of automatically syncing, it begins by putting up a notification box that sync will begin (or is it that it will connect), but it will not proceed to do so unless I click on the notification box and give it the top focus in Windows (10 Pro 64x). It can wait there for hours, not syncing, waiting for me to click on it on the taskbar, before it will proceed. This is not the old behaviour, and after some weeks it gets really annoying when I don't want to have to do this 5-10 times a day. Please fix. Thanks
