proxy athentication failed...

Hi,

First let me thanks all the MPE contributors for their excelent work, MPE is from far better than any commercial software, and even far better than the official sony-ericson suite... So many congratulations for this.

Now here is my question
I am using a shared remote ical file to synchronize my sunbird calendar between my different PC's (Home, Office,...). I use to synchronize this remote ical file with my V630i with but unfortunately I am now behind proxy at the office, and it doesn't work any more from there...
This is not a very important problem, as I am still able to synchronise the phone from home, but I wonder if there is a way to pass trough ? or are their some plan to include proxy settings to MPE one day or another ?

Normally it sould work also throught proxies. Is your proxy password-protected ? Which errormessage you get ?

Yes I forgot to mention I am behind a login/passwd protected proxy....

Exact error message is :

"Loading entries from iCal-File failed !
407 Proxy Authentication Required"

why doesn't MPE request me login/passwd like sunbird does in this case ?

This would be a possibility, but since i have no proxy to test this its hard to realize

I implemeted the Proxy-Authentication now, but i have no possibility to test it. Can you test it please and report me ? It would be very important since i have no way to test it.

OK it works fine, I am now able to synchonise with remote ical file when behind authenticated proxy !

There is just an error message on first sync :

On first ical sync, I was prompted the proxy login and passwd,
then I got error message about invalid ical-server authentication
(something like "ical server authentication failure..."), and the sync did not succeed.

then all the next sync are successful (proxy and ical server authentication are no more prompted at this stage).

After terminating MPE application, and restarting it, then the sync are still fully operational without the error message described in my previous post.

I guess the problem was just linked to first run after patch install ?...

So I can say it works perfectly, many thanks for this useful feature !

OK, maybe it was a temporary error. The Proxy-data are saved encrypted in the settings-file so it works up to the password of the proxy is changed without any promt.
