Using myphoneexplorer with Ubuntu

I am trying to use myphoneexplorer with ubuntu.

Does anyone know how to make this work?

Here is my approach to connect my phone explorer running on Linux/Ubuntu to an android phone

Phone: Android 4.2.2 (Fairphone 1)
Ubuntu: 15.10
My Phone Explorer: 1.8.7
Thunderbird/Lightning 38.4.0
Wine: 1.9.
Winetricks

"##" indicates a comment

green indicates apps from dash
blue indicates action on Thunderbird running within wine ~ TBWine
red indicates action on Thunderbird running within Ubuntu ~ TBLinux
cyan indicates action on MyPhoneExplorer running within wine ~ MPEWine
TBLinux / Lightning are already up and running with several calendars

1. Preperation =======================================================

Download installation files for TB & Lightning for Windows
Download Installation file for My Phone Explorer 1.8.7

2. Install Wine 1.9, 64-bit environment ======================================

Start WINETRICKS
## this creates a 64-Bit Windows in /home/xxxuserxxx/.wine
install the DLL:
vb6run ## Visual Basic runtime
msxml4 ## xml exchange
Exit WINETRICKS

Start WINE CONFIG
selected as OS: Windows 7
go to Libraries
disable library d3d11 ## this library does not work with Thunderbird
Exit WINE CONFIG

3. Preperation within TBLinux User Directory ================================

backup your entire user directory of TBLinux ##just for security
Create links for the files
- abook.mab
- storage.sdb
and links to the directories
- calendar-data
- photo

4. Install TBWine with Lightning ==========================================

Execute from filemanager the TB Windows Installation
Install Lightning and any other add ons you may use in TBLinux for calendaring and contact management
create a user account
except of the directory "extensions" replace all data and folders with the content from your user directory in TBLinux
replace the files
- abook.mab with the link-file to abook.mab
- storage.sdb with the link-file to storage.sdb
replace the directories
- calendar-data with the link-file to calendar-data
- photos with the link-file to photos
switch off all email download and synchronisation mechanismes within the TBWine account

5. Install MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.7 in Wine ==================================

Execute from filemanager the My Phone Explorer Installation
start MPEWine
connect your phone via WLAN to My Phone Explorer
connect calendars of MPEWine with the respective calendars of TBWine

Now you may use MPEWine to synchronize between your phone and TBLinux.

TBWine should not be started anymore - except for control and test reasons.
