Everything worked very well until a few days ago, but today, I can no longer sync contacts with outlook. To troubleshoot, I have "repaired" office through Windows Add/Remove Programs, I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the android and windows clients, I have force stopped the android app, cleared its cache and data and reconfigured the contacts to sync to Phone contacts. Have done PC and Phone restarts. Have done a repair of the outlook PST file. None of them have resolved the problem.
I noticed that I can sync calendar, notes, photos, and files just fine. However, when trying to sync the Contacts either using the Blue sync circular button in the desktop client or the blue down arrow in the desktop client they both give the "OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone didn't answer, Timeout" while the client is stating "Please wait... Downloading phonebook... Initiating sync...". Contacts, Calendar, and Notes are all set to force sync PC->Phone
Do you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or fix this?

Not just contacts
It looks like I am having issues with sync of the calendar at this point as well. Not sure what is causing this. Any insight on how to troubleshoot this?
Partial cause and solution
I just realized that my phone is showing that the data file for android contacts is over 900MB. I don't know if this was because of some android bug, some samsung bug, or some bug in MyPhone Explorer's sync. Using Android App manager, I cleared the data for Android contacts and restarted the phone. It looks like it is able to sync everything now.
