Unable to Connect Phone

Hi,

I was using MyPhoneExplorer earlier on Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 perfectly.

Today I got a new phone..

The phone model is "Rage OptimaSmart 40GN" and I am unable to connect it to MyPhoneExplorer via USB Cable. This phone has Android Kitkat (4.4.2) OS.

I have installed MyPhoneExplorer Client on the cellphone using Google Play Store and also managed to connect the phone via Wi-Fi to MyPhoneExplorer on my laptop.

However, USB Cable is not supported.

There are no Drivers for this phone, its from a new company. The screen of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the cellphones just shows, "WiFi Connected to...." and "USB Cable Not Plugged In" even when the USB cable is plugged in and the phone is charging up.

I have managed to enable USB debugging on the phone also.

I also installed "ADB Driver Installer" on my laptop from the following link:

http://adbdriver.com/downloads/

But, this also doesn't works up.

Why do you need to get the USB working if wifi is working fine? Asking as I find wifi to be much more convenient.

I don't have Wi-Fi at my office...

Wi-Fi drains the battery, while if the phone is connected via USB cable, it charges the phone...

Wi-Fi doesn't allow to operate the phone by screen capturing...

That's why i need to connect by USB cable...

It appears the phone company doesn't offers USB Debugging Drivers.. And I tried with some of the MediaTek Drivers and even those couldn't work...

I think its always better to use well reputed branded phones because of the after sales support we can receive...

Hi,

I managed to get the phone connected via USB.

Firstly, I found that my phone had MediaTek 6572 Chipset.

Now, my phone company didn't provide any drivers as such, but the ChipSet driver can be used.

I searched a lot.. But I couldn't find the drivers from MediaTek's official website....

Then somewhere I found "MTK Driver Auto Installer v5.1453.03" package and through it my phone was detected and it is working fine now.

It is clear to my that in future I will buy a phone that has easily available drivers.
